Charity Auction Raises $10,000 for Blood Cancer Research

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Woman of the Year Candidate Valerie Fiordilino held a Charity Bachelor and Silent auction to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event was a huge success with wonderful attendance and sponsorship, raising over $10,000 for the cause. The charity auction was held in honor of Valerie’s beloved father, Leo Fiordilino.

Dr. Fredric Barr of Palm Beach Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery hosted the Bachelor Auction, Silent auction, and Grand Prize raffles for all attendees. The event took place at Cabo Flats Cantina & Tequila in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Guests were greeted with cocktails and hor d’oeuvres before the evening festivities – enjoying a wonderful night with friends from the community for a good cause.

All proceeds of the auction will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

With over twenty years of experience in the area, Dr. Fredric Barr heads one of the most respected and reputable providers of reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery in Palm Beach County, Florida. Dr. Barr is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
