Statistics gathered by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that, of the 300,000 breast implant procedures performed in the U.S. in 2013, the age breakdown was as follows:

As you can see, the age group that received the most implants was 30-39, hardly the adult film star or college demographic. So what motivated this age group to make their decision? The majority of 30 to 39-year-olds are in the middle of their childbearing years, and many lose volume in their breasts after pregnancy and weight loss. Another noteworthy, stereotype-challenging finding is that the 40 to 54 age group surpassed the 20 to 29 group.
