Dr. Barr to Promote Breast Screening at Local Event

Dr. Barr is partnering with Gardens Jewish Experience to sponsor breast screening and testing at local Breast Cancer Awareness event this month.
The Great Challah Bake, presented by Gardens Jewish Experience, will take place on Sunday, October 21, at Meyer Preparatory, located at 5225 Hood Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Doors open at 2:00 pm for screening and testing, and baking will commence at 3:00.
The BRCA Gene test is a blood test that analyzes DNA to identify harmful changes or mutations in the breast cancer susceptibility genes. Women who have inherited mutations of these genes are thought to be at higher risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
