“Midsummer Night’s Dream” Party Raises Over $100,000 for the Dream Ride Experience!

August 5, 2014

Palm Beach Plastic Surgery and Theaology Day Spa & Salon’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” event was an impressive success! Thanks to event attendees, volunteers, local businesses and organizations, the contest raised over $100,000 for the Dream Ride Experience for the Special Olympics.

Palm Beach businesses donated a variety of products and services, such as designer clothing, makeup, vouchers for beauty services and more, as part of three makeover packages awarded to philanthropic women in Palm Beach County. Following a special performance by young dancers from Green’s Dance Studio, the winners were announced as follows:

  • Gold: Valerie Fiorindino
  • Silver: Curry Krazluc
  • Bronze: Carole Vertichi

In addition to the contest nominees, 36-year-old Special Olympics athlete Christina Cooney was also recognized and awarded with a special beauty package. Christina received a designer dress and purse by Tory Burch from Jennifer’s Design Exchange, and enjoyed a day of pampering that included a makeover by Luka Cosmetics, Theaology and Palm Beach Plastic Surgery’s Dr. Fredric Barr. An annual motorcycle rally and car cruise event, the Dream Ride Experience unites communities in an effort to honor the outstanding men, women and children living with intellectual disabilities.
