Fredric M. Barr,
M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Board
Certified Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon,
with more than twenty
years of medical experience. As one of the most highly regarded specialists
in his field, Dr. Barr is known as the "physician that physicians
consult" due to his extensive expertise and knowledge. He is also
admired by patients for his compassion, attention to individual needs
and thorough explanations to each and every question. Dr. Barr is
a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons,
a voluntary Assistant
Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami
and a teacher
at Palm Beach Community College. He
recently completed his 10th year as President
of the Palm Beach County Plastic Surgery Society,
as elected by his peers. He was also recently
Chief of Plastic Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Barr has practiced in the Palm Beach area for over two decades, both in the comfort of his own private office, as well
as in the modern outpatient and inpatient facilities at the adjacent
Good Samaritan Hospital with which he is affiliated. He is also affiliated with
St. Mary's Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Prior to practice in Palm Beach, Florida - Dr. Barr received his plastic
surgery training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston,
Texas for three years. Before that, he received his Residency in General
Surgery from the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Barr received an M.D. from Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia in 1978. He received a
B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Miami in 1973.
