Arm Lift

Minimal amounts of diet and exercise resistant fat can often be reduced with liposuction (in office mini-lipo with local anesthesia numbing solutions only). A small amount of skin laxity may sometimes be reduced with the Alma Laser. However more laxity of skin (and more fat) must usually be removed (like with a facelift) with surgery (and scar) – which can often be performed in the office with local injection numbing solution anesthesia.

Liposuction

A multitude of diet and exercise resistant body areas can safely and successfully be improved with mini-liposuction using only local anesthesia (numbing solution injections) without pills, IVs or hospital. Through the use of mini incisions and small caliber liposuction canulas, diet and exercise resistant fat in the neck, breasts, arms, flanks, back, tummy, hips ("love-handles"), inner/outer thighs ("saddle bags"), knees and even calves/ankles ("cankles") are all areas that can be improved with mini-liposuction. The patient usually experiences minimal discomfort and is encouraged to resume normal activities immediately following the procedure. However, for those with greater amounts of fat in multiple areas, full liposuction is performed in our adjoining hospital outpatient surgery unit. These procedures work best on those patients with good skin and muscle tone - excess skin and muscle weakness will not be corrected by liposuction alone.

Tummy Tuck

For lower tummy (below the belly button) excess skin, fat and muscle laxity “pouch”, a mini-tummy tuck procedure can be performed in the office with local anesthesia (numbing solution injections) only. This involves surgically removing excess skin and tightening the muscle below the belly button, usually through a smaller incision than a full tummy tuck. Often, a mini liposuction procedure can be performed to further sculpt the lower abdominal area afterwards. A full tummy tuck procedure will improve the abdomen from lower ribs to above the pubic areas, and is performed in our adjoining hospital outpatient surgery unit. Liposuction of flanks, back, hips and thighs is often combined with the full tummy tuck while under anesthesia to further improve body appearance.

Hand Reconstruction

The art of Hand reconstruction has a long and varied history, oftentimes utilizing all the skills of Plastic surgery- and then some! Soft tissue repairs have usually been called “plastic surgery “although not necessarily the use of” plastic materials” (the term plastic is derived from Greek word “Plasticos” which means to form or shape). The goal of reconstructive hand surgery is to provide for return of hand function, followed by appearance. As with the face and breast reconstructions, hand reconstructions may take several procedures to accomplish the maximal results. Hand therapy is also an integral part of the reconstructive process.
